Terms of Service

Effective: August 1, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Purpose Software LLC covering your use of our apps, including Masterpiece, Resona, FlowHour and Auto Volume. By using an app you accept them. If you obtained an app through the Apple App Store or Google Play, the store’s own terms also apply, including Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

The service

Masterpiece is a game of persuasion: you photograph ordinary objects and defend them before an AI curator. The curator’s responses are generated by an AI language model and are fiction — sharp-tongued by design, occasionally imperfect, and never professional advice of any kind. Daily invitations, moves, streaks and popularity are gameplay mechanics and may be tuned over time.

Your account

You must be at least 13 years old. Keep your credentials safe; you are responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account at any time inside the app or by emailing us.

Your content

You keep ownership of the photos and text you submit. You grant us the license needed to operate the game: hosting your content, processing it with our AI service to generate the curator’s responses, and — when a work is accepted — displaying it publicly inside the app with your handle, the curator’s label, and your museum’s city.

Submit only content you have the right to use. Content that is unlawful, infringing, hateful, sexually explicit, or that exposes someone else’s private information is prohibited. We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior: works can be reported and users blocked inside the app, reported content may be hidden immediately, and we may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Masterpiece+ subscriptions

Masterpiece+ is an optional auto-renewing subscription (monthly or annual) purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment is charged to your store account; the subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your store account settings — deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Refunds are handled by the store under its rules. Prices may change; the store notifies you before a change affects you.

Fair use

Don’t reverse-engineer the apps, automate gameplay, scrape content, probe our infrastructure, or interfere with other players’ use of the service.

Our property

The apps, their design, the Masterpiece brand and the Madam Curator character are the property of Purpose Software LLC. These terms grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use the apps, not to copy them.

Warranty and liability

The apps are provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential damages; our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Ending or changing the service

We may modify or discontinue features, and may update these terms; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date. If you continue using the apps after a change, the new terms apply.
